A few days ago I bought (well, my father) the Western Digital WD TV HD as a birthday present.
The device promises and had read good reviews about the product, is relatively inexpensive and also took time after something that would offer me the same functions.
When I got home I unpacked everything quickly and provided plug all the cables needed to run it, but I realized that something was wrong .. could not connect using the HDMI cable (only for the components).
Although I seem weird and I began to suspect, I returned the next day at PC City in which he had bought, if it was a product failure. Everything was quick, everything was found in the box and got a ticket to redeem for the same or for money.
I went home and ran to connect but .. nothing, everything was the same.
I followed a few days trying various things but I followed to no avail.
I must say that my TV is not FULL HD and the connection is DVI, but the instruction manual indicates no problem. The HDMI to DVI cable also works well for connecting the laptop to the TV is no problem.
In the end what will be going to the PC City, ask for my money back and then go to buy the Asus O! Play that serves the same purpose and also includes other exciting features (which probably will not be used) and eSATA connection .
For existing copy something you do not hit this link with the specifications of the Asus O! Play .
So far today I can not do anything else, tomorrow I will do all the above and you just have to wait to go well and not have problems when requesting a refund or purchase the Asus O! Play ..
PS: WD TV HD PC City: 99 € | Asus O! Play at Neo-Byte: 88 € (but at 98 € in APP).

I want to buy the HD TV WH nose if the ruling will be connected by DVI gives me so, because as you know the HDMI Video and Audio, Video and DVI only, Nose ... something happens there, I if I it will connect directly buy HDMI - HDMI and I have no problems
WithBut for audio input cable has a Toslink (optical) and then also lets you choose between digital output (for the optical cable) or output component cable so I do not think that's it ..
Whatever it is, I have a unit of 99 € that does not serve me for what I bought it, so .. Because of my TV or appliance, the better it back in time and money I buy something that (hopefully) serve me
WithJust change the hdmi cable for another brand.
Greetings.
WithStill, I wait for the Asus O! Play to see if the cable fails that I have, which cost me about 20 € ..
